FS#1134 - add icon/image for each project

When we have several projects into flyspray, it's hard to see the project where I am when I add several tasks.
It's necessary to read the text.

To improve this, I think that it's a good idea if it's possible to add a color or an image with the logo project next to project title into web page. It will more simple to know where we are when we use flyspray.

Florina.. what you think about a “color” .. and image isnt what I expect there...

Could be possible. If we get a new design for 1.0, it maybe allows to specify a colour for each project which is used for a prominent element on the page. Or if we get a new logo (with transparency) we can make the header background colour customisable.

I think that allowing theme selection on a per project basis does this overly so. You can change as much or little as you want to distinguish projects.

I use different for different projects.

I would think different colours, instead of
fits into flyspray's clean design.

It wouldn't make Flyspray unclean if projects had 48x48 icons (optional) and different colors.

Project Manager

I think this is a good feature request.

Now that we have the profile image upload and automatic resizing implemented, this code can be adapted to upload/managing project images in admin area.

For this the resizing images needs at least 2 sizes:

  • One for the project pages ( maybe one bigger image on the header) or toplevel projects summaries.
  • One small icon that fit in task list rows as replacement option for the project name (have the project name in the title attribute)

I suggest creating one image subfolder for each size, for example:

  • proj/thumbnail/ or tiny/ or small/
  • proj/full/ or big/
  • proj/default/ or normal/

Probably better use a BLOB field in projects table for that. (Flyspray 1.1+)
