FS#2074 - Opening tasks from tasklist

Removing table on row click made it impossible to open a task’ details if you do not display the task id and summary on the task list, because now those two cells are the only clickable items to open a task, instead of the entire line being the hyperlink

The idea of changing this was:

I asked a friend to give a feedback of first impression of flyspray (they use redmine)

He pointed out, that clicking on some of the task property columns or peoples doesn't have the effect of subfiltering or sorting by the clicked value.
Or a click on peoples doesn't leads to the people's profile page.
Instead flyspray opens the task regardless which column is clicked (execept the checkboxes).

I found this also a bit more logic so now only summary and task id leads to task details view.

The parts that clicking on some task property values has the effect of subfiltering the current search query is not implemented yet nor the links to the people's profile page.

But I have this in mind. So the first step was dropping that a click on a row always opens the task details view.

I'm waiting for discussion this with the crowd.

Then make the text lead to what you want onclick and consume() the event so that the row doesn't get the click, and let the row open the task details. As of now, without display the id and summary columns, impossible to open the task... Displaying the id is usually not relevant for great public as nobody gives a crap what the task id is, and sometimes, you don't want to display the summary.

Ok, I will check this.

You are right, the id display may not necessary for every project.
But what use case is an install where the summary/title isn't shown?

Btw. there is a similar issue with user table in admin section, where the click event on the checkbox is double handled (row javascript handler, chackbox native handling) which results checkbox not working in Firefox, only checks the box when clicking the row.
