FS#273 - Personal task list export
Would like to see a means of exporting open/assigned tasks out to a portable format. Something that would allow the tasks to be migrated to a PDA or similar device. This would allow a developer taking a vacation/trip to grab a list of things that need to be worked on.

This is certainly possible. Please provide more information about such things as the export format and the amount of detail required. My PDA may have a 640×480 screen, but not everyone is that lucky.
export format could be something rather basic such as a CSV export. Then it would be up to another PDA specific utility or script to format the data.
Perhaps a tab on the new Reports (
FS#44) page could export a brief task list for this?Yes, a new tab would suit fine. CSV format is probably the easiest and the most portable.
CSV would be great. Then it could also be imported into spreadsheet and/or database tools for analysis, reporting, graphing, or whatever else people might want to do with the data.
It seems like a function like this should be made available through XML-RPC too, but that’s another task.
I think I’d like to take on this task. I can think of two places this could be extremely useful: Exporting any task list (i.e. one generated by a search, etc.) to CSV, and exporting any report (from the reports page) to CSV. I’m inclined to tackle the task list one first, since that’s what was originally requested, but if there’s interest in the reports as well, we could make that part of this task, or a separate one. The XML-RPC interface would be great, but would need to be a separate task, I think.
The task system in flyspray is very good with priority, date and depends, but it’s impossible to view this in
great if each developper can see its timetable and tasks
other functionnality very interesting for developers is to download their tasks list. It’s very useful for developper to integrate this in PIM software (Kontact, evolution...). With this, the developer knows each task it’s possible to work even
possible to work in travel (train...). When the developer has finished a task, he signal this in PIM software. When Internet works, PIM software is synchronized with
all features, maybe the good idea is to reuse a free software. For example :

Hi everybody,
I see this PHP library to create easily ical export : http://bennu.sourceforge.net/ Maybe it’s the good choice to implement quickly this feature ?
Another project for this : http://sourceforge.net/projects/php-flp/
I have written an icalendar export for this
can download this on : http://www.tfcfrance.free.fr/contributions/icalendar_flyspray.zip
I have a bug with percent complete of each task, all tasks are marked at 100%.
the above icalendar_flyspray.zip does not work
Notice: Undefined variable: sql_user_1 in /home/bla/bla ... sql_user_2 ... AND p.others_view = ‘1’ ORDER BY date_opened DESC} with params {1} Failed! (Unknown column ‘t.attached_to_project’ in ‘on clause’)
recommend re-opening (calendar view would be really helpful)
See
FS#957No reopening necessary, as a similar task does already exist and this task is not at all bout calendar stuff ;)
