In flyspray 0.9.9, it's possible to vote for a task/idea.
It's very interessant, but it isn't possible to vote against a task/idea.
With this feature, it will be possible to have democratical process to make a decision inside a project.

With flyspray, it's possible to receive notifications by jabber.

I think that it's possible to add a comment directly with the jabber client. To differentiate the response for each task, we can use ressource field to indicate the number of the task.

With AJAX, when we are on the task, to be alert when a new comment or change is present.
This is permits to alert quickly and "chat".

Maybe it's possible to add the list of users who are present on this task with web browser.

When you go on the first page of flyspray is impossible to define the column that is used for the sort.

To help new users to use flyspray, it would be useful if it's possible to hide some fields, and add a javascript link "advanced fields..." to show theses hidden fields.

It's greatful if it's possible to have a page with the list of categories for a project next to each category title, some stats (number of tasks opened, closed, the date of last report and the sender...) and when you click on the category title, this launch a search limited for this category and ordered by id (to see last task reports).

I propose this, because in some open source projects, the project management tool is a forum. And somebody doesn't use the bug tracker because they can't see the same view that with a forum software that contains forum categories.

Into flyspray 0.9.8, it's possible to follow new tasks with RSS feed.

But, it's impossible to detect easily the modified tasks without we are into notification list.

With mediawiki, a RSS feed exists to follow modifications of all articles.

I think it's a good idea to add a RSS feed with lastest modified tasks.

Maybe this feature is useful to see easily the state.

When receiving an update alert by e-mail, it is unclear what the latest
change has been, although the information is readily available on the
website when you follow the link and go on the "history" tab. It's
incredibly annoying to know the information is available in a synthetic
form but not to have it inside the e-mail.
The complete list of details is there, but if nothing underlines what
has changed, it is impossible to distinguish this detail, so it is
impossible as well to know if something important requiring your
attention happened, or if the bug has just been changed from 40% to 50%
completion

Flyspray can be used for customer helpdesk, but a small problem exists with flyspray :
All customers can see all problems of other customers.

To resolve this, the good idea is to define an option in "Manage Project" page to define that all tasks are hidden by default.

when I change the person in "assigned to" field, Flyspray doesn't add in notification list the user and the user doesn't receive a notification.

When I create a group, it's impossible to add "view attachment" rights

When I add "Due date" to the task, Flyspray doesn't add a reminder to all assigned persons.

It's important because the "Due date" it's a deadline.

Hi,

In our current widespread developers projects, we have a big need of an
interface to keep track of who is working on what server and when.

We think it would be really nice if Flyspray could use an additional
parameter mentioning what server one developer is busy on during the
execution of one task. That parameter could then be used to generate a
table like the following (an agenda view), where each server has a line
and each day (no need for better precision) shows if one task is
currently being carried out on the servers. Once a task is closed, the
server is "freed" from the occupancy of one developer.

The occupancy is triggered by the fact that a task is assigned/testing
and completed to more than 0% and less than 100%.

Please will you consider this as a feature request for later versions?

When I assign a task to an user in global developer group, the user doesn't receive notification by e-mail or jabber.

It's possible to receive a notification for each event in flyspray by e-mail or by jabber.
Jabber notification is good, but I'm not always on Jabber, and it's more simple to access at an e-mail account everywhere.

Could you add the possibility to receive the notification by e-mail and by jabber ?

In some bug tracking system or project manager system, the notion of workflow exists to define an action to do when an event launched.

A workflow permits to automatize some tasks, for example : "send an e-mail when a task is Requires testing status"
The workflow is useful to integrate other software, for example, a CRM or ERP. In eventum, they have integrated any CRM with Eventum.

In Flyspray 0.9.9, it's possible to define several users for a task.
But it's impossible to note each role for each user.

For example, a person develop this task, another test this task, and third person is the customer

When you create a new user in flyspray admin or during a new subscription, it's useful if Flyspray generates a new password automaticly. Theses generated passwords are more secure than "qwerty" or other.
You can let a input text to permits at the user to give a password.

Sometimes, when I am adding a task, I see that this task isn't in good project.
It isn't possible to switch other project without lost informations in "add new task" form.
I can copy details and summary field before change of the project, but it isn't user friendly and I lost datas for the other fields.

I need to add several tasks with the same field for the category, Reported Version, Due in version...
But for this, I must change all fields when I create each tasks.

Maybe It's a good idea if we add a template mechanism for tasks reports. A template contains the default value for each field.

I can create a patch to implement this. Are you interessed by this ?

With flyspray, it's possible to create sub-tasks for a task with depends mechanism.

When I view tasks list for a project, I think it's greatful if an option exists in search form to view only tasks that doesn't block others tasks. There are primary tasks.

This is permits to see only important tasks without their sub-tasks.

When I close a task, it's possible to choose why with a small text.
When I change the "Percent Complete" for a task, it's often necessary to explain why I change this field.
It's possible to add a comment, but I must change the task with two actions : Change percent complete and add a comment.

Maybe the good idea it's to add the select box "percent complete" next to "Add comment" button. With this, it's possible to change "percent complete" and post a comment in the same action.

For example, if I have only Operating system supported by my software, the field "Operating System" is useless.
The good idea it's maybe to hide this field.

I can create a patch for this. Do you want for this ?
