2085 | Text Rendering | Information | Medium | Enabling Color Coding options in CKEDITOR | Unconfirmed
| | | 30.10.2015 | 30.10.2015 |
Task Description
Hi
So I figured out that there are no color coding options (to set text color and background color) for text in the CKEDITOR. I did some changes to CKEDITOR to add those, however, once I submit the text, it does not retain the changes.
Is there a particular reason why these are not enabled in the first place?
I am thinking it would be good add these, so that we can make the important text pop-out to the users.

| | | 06.08.2016 | 06.08.2016 |
Task Description
Problem: By replacing just the project_id of the closed task it is possible the task then has invalid field values within the target project.
Possible scenarios:
Ignore invalid values within the target project
Pro: Easy to do, an immidiatly revert back to the old project would “heal” the task properties.
Contra: may effect accuracy and reliability of other parts like searching, listing, statistic calculations
Silent change task field values to valid field values of the target project if necessary
allow user to modify the fields that must be changed so that every field of the task has valid values within the target project
allow user to modify the fields, fields or field select values that do not exists in target project will be automatically created.

2522 | Backend/Core | Feature Request | Low | email vs username login issues | Researching
| | | 31.10.2018 | 02.11.2018 |
Task Description
So, I’ve been away from Flyspray for more than a few years. When I tried to login to the Flyspray here, I was unable to login, because I don’t remember my username, and I was unable to retrieve my username, because there’s no function for that. I was *also* unable to re-register the same email address. SO, having an account system that requires both unique usernames and unique email addresses, but has no way of retrieving one from the other, doesn’t work out so well.
Suggestion: either use email as username, or add a function to retrieve username (perhaps along with password retrieval . . password retrieval would then have to take username -or- email, probably)

2009 | User Interface | Feature Request | Low | Edit task flow | New
| 2.0 | | 18.07.2015 | 07.08.2016 |
Task Description
Currently only a small portion of adjustements on a task is available in the “edit task” view.
To add or modify stuff in the current tab sections (comments, related tasks, notifications, effort tracking,..) a user must go from edit task to view task page.
This not optimal for work flow.
To solve this quite much changes are needed. Because currently they are different http requests each with its own checks and request anwsers.

| | | 07.08.2016 | 08.08.2016 |
Task Description
If someone with ‘edit comment’-permission wants to edit a comment, the edit comment form is shown on an extra page.
This is not optimal, because the editor cannot see task details or the other comments while modifying the comment.
Possible Solutions
with javascript is enabled: Stay on the ‘task detail’-page, just the comment changes from a ‘view’ layout to ‘edit’ layout, similiar to the quickedit-feature (like in FS1.0).
when javascript is disabled: The ‘edit comment’-page shows task details (check permissions) and other comments too, but maybe a bit narrow, so ‘visible focus’ is on editing the comment.

When a tasklist contains the duedate column and the user sorts by duedate ascending, the tasks that do not have a duedate set should not be listed first. Instead they should be listed after the tasks with duedates.

maybe yet fixed in 1.0 dev, but here bugs.flyspray.org my account is shown twice for selection if u edit a task.
Internally in the form also with the same id, so probably not a big problem.
I registered some years ago, maybe this year jordan(?) added me again or with another email adress? Maybe I have two addresses under on account here, which is a feature, not a bug.
But for the assignee list it should “group by user_id”.

2436 | Backend/Core | Bug Report | Low | dokuwiki renderer creates nonunique html-id for h1,h2,h... | New
| | | 02.08.2017 | 02.08.2017 |
Task Description
The dokuwiki renderer automatic creates for each h(1-6) tag an html id attribute, but doesn’t ensure that this:
is not used by Flyspray templates
is unique across all tasks (tasklist summary/description mouseover!), id must be unique on a webpage.
Example: id=”footer” and id=”title” are used by the default CleanFS template for example.
title
title
title
id=”title2”
The original intention I think is to make dokuwiki content each h-section linkable, for instance by a “table of contents” at top of a wiki content page. This is currently not used by the dokuwiki integrated in Flyspray, but could be in future.
Possible solution
Add the task_id to the generated id h(1-6) tags, for instance “d1234_footer” “d1234_title”
d - like description
(t1234 used for tags/labels id currently)

2057 | Backend/Core | Bug Report | Low | Do not resubmit forms on browser reload button or F5 | New
| | | 22.09.2015 | 23.09.2015 |
Task Description
On some forms, when the user presses the reload button of this browser, the POST submit can be resubmitted.
Browsers can warn about this (Chromium, Firefox, Konqueror tested and they show a warning dialog) before executing the second POST. But people on Flyspray mailing list wrote they experienced double comments.
Simple solution is just HTTP GET redirects after a successful POST. (HTTP 303 or HTTP 302) But maybe there is a better method than a second roundtrip always needed?
Success, Error, or Warn-messages to the user are stored in the $_SESSION variable for displaying on the second GET request. But I think that this is a bit ... mmh... not perfect.
For example, I would like to have in the direct response at which position in a form an input error is, not just the message bar in the top center as it is currently that just dissappear after a few seconds.
Also take care the browser back button still works as expected for the user.

2577 | User Interface | Feature Request | Very Low | distinguish between anonymous reporter and deleted user | New
| | | 18.10.2019 | 18.10.2019 |
Task Description
When a user is deleted from Flyspray, their opened tasks, closed task and task comments are then shown as Anonymous Submitter, the same way as anonymous reporters (not really anonymous, just that user does not have login account, but usually their email address is stored within that task data).
Currently just the entry from users table are deleted when a user is deleted. Their internal user_id integer is still within tasks and comments fields, and maybe some other tables too. So there is not a ON DELETE SET NULL rule or something like that applied. As it is just an autoincremented number by the system, this is not personal data imho and should be no problem for GDPR, but gives Flyspray the ability to distinguish between anon reporters and deleted users. Well, we could also look if there is an email address within task table entry for notification of anonymous reporter, but there are also tasks possible that have no user_id nor an email address.
It might by useful to present that information differently like deleted user or showing the info differently like icon + title-tooltip with explanation.
Also interesting what happens with mentions of a deleted username in a comment or task description. (see FS#2322)
The user isn’t in database, but deleting that now gone user should not modify tasks or comment where that username was mentioned I think. But what if another user registers under that now gone username? In that case that new user would inherit that mentions. Probably we can ignore that edge case as there will be not much things will happen with an old mention in old tasks/comments.

2587 | Backend/Core | TODO | Medium | display_errors=1 should not set in release candidate | Unconfirmed
| | | 18.12.2019 | 18.12.2019 |
Task Description
display_errors = 1 should not set in include/fix.inc.php for releases or releases candidate, because with this it is not possibele to disable the error reporting globaly.
The problem is, if I want to enable full error reporting to logfile via “error_log=…” in php.ini, then the error will also full reported to user. Full error reporting is a hig risk for security.
Did you installed an official release or did you used an inoffical docker?! flyspray-1.0-rc9
Steps done to create the problem: Create a file php.in in base directory with follow contens: error_reporting = E_ALL | E_STRICT log_errors = On display_errors = Off error_log = /var/log/php-flyspray-errors.log
Expected behavior: Errors only to log file
Experienced behavior: All errors goes also to user. The option “display_errors = Off” has no effect.

2531 | Translations | Feature Request | Low | detect usage of translation keywords | New
| | | 10.01.2019 | 19.03.2019 |
Task Description
Some translation keywords of Flyspray are used at more than one code location.
To help translators doing the correct translations, it would help to show in what context a translation keyword is used. Especially when a keyword is used more than once.
As we have our own translation helper integrated into Flyspray, we could show a ‘translation keyword usage counter’ there and maybe show on request in which file a translation keyword is used.
It would also help to identify ‘abandoned’ translation keywords that are not used anymore by Flyspray source.
Also it would help to identify when a translation is used at more than one location with maybe different context.
I think we can use a regular expression and scan the whole Flyspray source for that. (and maybe database entries if there are places that have translation keywords stored - I don’t think so, but better check that too first than forget that case)
The regular expression should match that examples case insensitive for the translation keyword report:
L('report'
L("report"
eL('report'
eL("report"
but also ugly cases like
l( 'report'
or
El ( "report"
case insensitive.
But not for example
createURL('report'
