2004 | User Interface | Bug Report | Low | php notice on unset params on reports page | New
| 1.1 devel | | 18.07.2015 | 19.09.2015 |
Task Description
If on the reports page some get params aren't set, there are notice warnings on the report result page
like
index.php?do=reports&events[]=30
without start date,end date,result size
But it can be useful to have a bit shorter urls for sharing between authorized users instead the full params url.
Result page should use user default and project default settings fallbacks for the unset get params.

2013 | User Interface | Feature Request | Low | personal task list column selection and positioning | New
| 2.0 | | 20.07.2015 | 06.10.2015 |
Task Description
Currently the appearence of the task list table is configured system wide for all project view and project wide for project task list views.
Even more fancy and for power users would be if the user can set his own project column list view preferences for projects.
While the project columns for the task list are configured by "visible_columns" we could use the project wide "visible_fields" as allowed columns the user may configure as his personal preference. If the user doesn't configure his own list, the project default list is used. The user should have the option to reset to project default. (e.g. empty personal "visible_fields" )
In this case the description for setting "visible_fields" on the project management configuration page must be adapted too.
Probably a new table required something like:
CREATE TABLE {user_projects} (
user_id int,
project_id,
columns varchar(255) DEFAULT '',
);
or
CREATE TABLE {user_projects} (
user_id int,
project_id,
columns varchar(32) DEFAULT NULL,
sort int,
);

2127 | User Interface | Feature Request | Low | overhaul task detail page layout | New
| | | 20.05.2016 | 25.05.2016 |
Task Description
There was a question on the mailing list:
I have a suggestion, even though I don´t know if it´s possible to do it. But if it is, it would be great! In the comments list of a given task, is it possible that the comments appear from the newest one to the oldest ones, and not as it is now, with the new ones coming at the end of the list? This is because I deal with long comments list for a given task, and it is becoming difficult to reach the last one, that is, the newest comment, because the order in the comments is on the top, the older ones. If this could be altered it would be great.
Kind regards Ana ...
Quick anwsers:
Users can use ‘End’-key and ‘Pos1’-key on their keyboard to scroll to bottom and top of page. (lame anwser I know)
Another quick anwser is to just reverse the comments array in the appropriate template themes/CleanFS/templates/details.tabs.comments.tpl :
Replace
<?php foreach($comments as $comment): ?>
with
<?php
$comments_latestfirst=array_reverse($comments);
foreach($comments_latestfirst as $comment): ?>
But the real problem I think is that the details page (and others too..) is not optimized for todays wide screens (landscape views). Laptops have FullHD or higher but the Flyspray users still have to scroll to get an overview of a task.
And for narrows views too (mobile phones, tablet portrait view)
The attached screenshot shows moving the task details tabs beside their task description if the display width is over 1200 css pixel. (and the reversed comments too ). Done with pure css media query:
E.g. add to a custom stylesheet file custom_detailswidescreen.css in folder themes/CleanFS/ :
@media only screen and (min-width: 1200px) and (orientation: landscape) {
.details .tab.active{
display:inline-block;
}
.details .tab{
width:44%;
padding-left:0px;
/*margin-top:60px;*/
box-sizing:border-box;
}
.details .commenttext pre {
overflow:auto;
}
.details .comment_container .comment {
width:auto;
margin-left:30px;
display:block;
}
.details .comment_avatar {
position:absolute;
}
.details #comments .fa.fa-user{
font-size:30px !important;
}
#submenu li a{margin-left:0;}
.details #submenu{
display:inline-block;
position:absolute;
padding:1em 0 0;
margin-top:26px;
}
.details #content{
display:inline-block;
box-sizing:border-box;
vertical-align:top;
width:55%;
}
/* just a temporary fix: should be redone in theme.css with class instead ids*/
#comments, #related, #notify, #remind, #effort, #history {margin-top:72px;}
}
(Has still some problems with current 1.0-rc1 when the project selector wraps. Also tab labels wrap if not enough width available and tab content do not adapt.)
What do you think? How should the details page look on different display sizes? How can it improve the workflow of the user?

Task Description
Rethink the current sets of buttons and their functionality.
Maybe a mousover hint/cheatsheet of available dokuwiki syntax is more helpful in writing fast and efficient.
buttongroup links http,email,ftp
buttongroup code, code php: why a single button for php? maybe a cheatsheet or subselect for choosing a language (read directory plugins/dokuwiki/inc/geshi for that). Or even better: Let the project administrator define what source code languages are used/popular in a software project and dependend of that setting prefer/promote that languages
I miss a blockquote- or cite-tag for citation, which is more semantic than bold, italic, underline buttons. Update: It is the > character followed by text!
Show a cheatsheet (by mouseover?) of dokuwiki smileys as defined at plugins/dokuwiki/conf , update to current config of dokuwiki, facepalm for instance is missing

Hello,
I wanted to request a feature that will DRAMATICALLY increase the popularity and the usage of flyspray worldwide which is :
One click signup
This can be done by using existing signup solutions like openID, live.com, Google, Facebook ,twitter, Yahoo, gravatar (these are the most universal according to http://www.alexa.com/topsites)
The goal is to give a new user the possibility to sign up in less than 15 sec (and mention this in the signup page)

Task Description
RC9 running on CentOS LAMP stack
Steps done to create the problem: Set up google as an oauth provider. Have a user click “Sign in with Google” in the login box. User connects their account with Flyspray. Google redirects the user back to Flyspray The return screen (on flyspray) asks for a username.
Expected behavior: No warning about duplicate username should be shown on initial page load since no username was entered yet
Experienced behavior: A warning about the username being already taken is shown.
It appears there is no logic for showing or hiding that warning in register.oauth.tpl
(It would be great if flyspray was able to just use the email as a username to make the UX even better/simpler.)

Steps done to create the problem: Visit https://bugs.flyspray.org/index.php?do=register in a private browser window (so you are logged out)
Put in an already taken username (e.g. Stefan or Stefan2)
Expected behavior: Username gets red and a note appears that username already is taken
Experienced behavior: Username gets green and registration of a new user proceeds with sending a notification mail with confirmation code. After putting in the confirmation code in provided page, user gets presented a “username is already taken, choose another” (where?) message, and has to re-start registration process from beginning and hopefully this time choose a not taken name.

Task Description
We keep the votes, because a task can be reopened everytime and then the old voters and votes should be visible again. In this case the amount of votes on active task could be a bit greater than allowed, but thats no real problem. The calculation of done votes and available votes based only on open task and project voting limit.
For example on uservoice.com you have 10 voting points. So you as user has to decide where your priorities are to put your votes.
So all users have more or less the same power to vote for tasks.

1236 | User Interface | Feature Request | Low | Mark Issue As Verified or Unverifiable | Unconfirmed
| | 4 | 09.04.2007 | 18.07.2016 |
Task Description
Currently, the Vote functionality provides users a way to say "this issue is important to me". In addition to that functionality, it would be great for users to have a "Verify" ability on open issues; it would provide users a way to say "yes, this happens to me as well".
A "Verified" label would fit nicely right under "Votes", to the right of the label would be "Yes | No", each option being a link. After clicking Yes or No, or if unable to specify (lack of permissions), the text would display "Yes - # | No - # (% verification)" where '%' is the result of ((Yes/(Yes+No))*100).
This feature should not show up on all issues, though. It does not make sense to "verify" a feature request or todo item, for example. When defining task types, the administrator would specify if a type was "Verifiable" by checking a box in a column next to "Show".
If implemented, two great, mini extra features would be:
The ability for the administrator to set the number of "Yes" verifications an issue would need before it was elevated to the next priority, severity, or both (specified by the administrator).
The ability for the administrator to set the number of "No" verifications an issue would need before it was lowered to the previous priority, severity, or both (specified by the administrator).
Both settings should have an option to be incremental (priority / status increased every x verifications) or not (increases once, no matter how many verifications are received); an "Incremental" checkbox would do nicely. Also, a little "Enabled" checkbox next to both settings would be clearer than having zero act as the disable mechanism.
As with voting, a permission should exist to enable or disable this option for a user group. For larger projects, moderators tasked with verifying bugs could be given the permission whereas smaller projects may leave verifications up to the community.
Lastly, a way to send a notification once the number of "Yes" verifications reached a certain value would also be a great addition.

| 2.0 | | 27.03.2013 | 06.03.2015 |
Task Description
Hello, when I wanted to use Flyspray to manage request from non-technical customer, I found one missing feature:
I have "report a problem" link on devel version of web site. But to submit new task, it is necessary to login into Flyspray.
It would be nice if there was an URL with login form if user is not logged in and "add new task" form if he is logged in.
Example scenario: - Customer visits devel site after some time and finds some problem. He wants to report it. - Customer clicks "report a problem" on the devel site and Flyspray is opened. - Customer now see some wierd error message and has no idea what is wrong. If anonymous reports are allowed, he sees the form, but cannot upload screenshots and he must enter his e-mail address.
How it should be: - Customer visits devel site after some time and finds some problem. He wants to report it. - Customer clicks "report a problem" on the devel site and Flyspray is opened. - Customer sees login form and (if anonymous reports are allowed) there is also "add new task" form below the login form. - Customer clicks "login" (password is saved in browser). - Customer now can fill report with all the comfort.

The shortcuts help infobox should adapt to the current page type.
So when in editing a task for instance, the n (next task) and p (previous task) shortcuts are not available for a good reason. Listing them there with same priority as other keys then is not helpful.
The simpliest solution is probably putting some if-statements depending on the $do variable into CleanFS/templates/shortcuts.tpl ..

1967 | User Interface | Bug Report | Low | Keep browser scroll position when sorting task list | New
| 1.1 devel | | 12.03.2015 | 19.09.2015 |
Task Description
When I scroll down the page to see more of the task list and then click on one of the column headings to sot by this heading, the answer page doesn't scroll down to the table.
I think there are 2 technical solutions for that:
1. set an name/id a-anchor on top of the table and on each column heading link add for example '#tasklist'.
2. add a js-sorter with complete extra search and sort ajax-backend with e.g. libs from http://datatables.net/ This requires aleso writing a server side handler for taking the ajax requests (respecting user permissions!) and is only usable if js in enabled in browser. So this second solution can only be a luxury comfort function.

The HTML accesskey attribute feature is differently accessible dependent of operating system, web browser and web browser configuration, and users keyboard layout and user language.
By taking advantage of the User-Agent HTTP header value provided by default by web browsers, Flyspray could better know of what kind of keyboard and browser the user sits in front off and show the key combinations for the accesskey feature that best fits the users environment.

Task Description
The user preferences and the add new user screens both allow you to set the timezone offset of the user, however, we are only provided with whole hour offsets from GMT. This makes it impossible to select our timezone here in India, which is GMT+5:30 - IST(Indian Standard Time - Asia/Kolkata as per TZ Zoneinfo). In addition, there are also timezones in the GMT+x:45, which wouild also require to be handled. Note, this is totally independent of DST Changes, since some of the countries use DST(Like in Australia) and others do not(Like India).
Here is a link with more details of the same - http://www.timeanddate.com/time/time-zones-interesting.html
I will be trying to identify and fix the codebase to resolve this, and will hopefully have a patch to submit soon.

2308 | User Interface | Feature Request | Low | improve user management for admins | New

Task Description
The register spam by probably bots in 2016 is annoying.
I ticked the setting, that an admin must accept a new registration. It helps to reduce spam task, but now admin must decide if the registrations are ok or just spam bots.
Beside the need of antispam-plugins, the management of users can be improved:
column sorting of user list, similiar to the tasklist
filtering user list, similiar to the tasklist
pagination of user list (25,50,100,200,all?)
more columns:
last login implemented
last activity (a resulting task/comment/project change in database)
tasks created implemented
comments created implemented
votes implemented
that may help to decide what status or settings a user should have in future.

2635 | User Interface | Feature Request | Medium | improve usability of add/remove tags to/from tasks | Planned
| 1.0 | | 13.04.2021 | 23.04.2021 |
Task Description
Integrate the selectpure javascript to the new task and edit task form.
By default there is a text field where tag names are separated by ‘;’ character.
Selectpure could instead show the tags with their visual layout with a little ‘x’ inside on the right side for removing a tag and autocomplete when typing a tag name to show existing tags from the flyspray_list_tag-table as possible selections.
Instead implemented a CSS and raw javascript solution with a single taghelper.js without any dependancies.
A button beside the tag input text field toggles a list of available tags for the current task, depending on the project and settings.
Still TODO
styling of added tags
highlight tags that would be removed when the task will be saved.
highlight tags that would be added when the task will be saved.
highlight tags that are attached to the task in the available taglist.
highlight tags that are added to the task in the available taglist.
optimize layout for this feature.

1970 | User Interface | Feature Request | Low | Icons for predefined task types | New
| 1.1 devel | | 12.03.2015 | 30.10.2015 |
Task Description
for toplevel, roadmap and task list view.
For roadmap: replace the current ‘-’ between the task id and task summary with icons.
For toplevel: most wanted tasks and assigned to myself
<style>
ul.tasks li {clear:left;}
li.tid:before{
content: "\code";
font-family: FontAwesome;
float:left;
margin-left:-12px;
}
</style>
On task list the column text can be replaced by icons, moving the text to title attribute.
Maybe use css :content-before or :content-after for that.
I suggest following font-icons from fontawesome are the easiest way to implement:
Bug Report use fa-bug , red color
Feature Request use fa-star , yellow
TODO a bold T, blue ( or blue fa-check?, but check mark maybe too ambiguous)
Gain: you faster see what types of task are on roadmap milestones and task list exists.
